What we build

ProDeviceTest started with a simple idea: checking whether your microphone, keyboard, webcam, or any other piece of hardware actually works shouldn't require installing anything. Every tool on this site runs directly in your browser using standard web APIs — the same technology that powers video calls, browser games, and web-based audio editors — so there's nothing to download, no account to create, and no installation step to trust.

That same browser-first approach turned out to be just as useful for musicians. A guitar, violin, or mandolin tuner built the same way — instant, accurate, and free — fit naturally alongside the device tests, which is why the site now covers a full family of instrument tuners as well.

Why it's free, and why it stays that way

Every tool here is free with no signup, no subscription, and no hidden limits. There's no account system to build or maintain, and no paywall to work around — just a tool that does one job well, available whenever you need it.

Your privacy, by design

None of these tools upload your audio, video, or sensor data anywhere. A microphone test reads your mic input locally and draws it to the screen; it never leaves your device.
