Terms & Disclaimer

The simple rules for using ProDeviceTest, and what to know before you trust a result.

Using the site

ProDeviceTest is free for personal and everyday use. Please use it lawfully, and don't try to overload the site or copy it in bulk.

Results are a guide, not a guarantee

The tests run in your browser, so a result depends on your device, your browser and your settings. Passing a test doesn't prove a device is fault-free, and failing one doesn't prove it is broken. For a warranty claim or a repair, rely on the manufacturer's own diagnostics.

Not medical advice

The hearing and frequency tests are not a medical examination and cannot diagnose hearing loss. If you notice changes in your hearing, ringing in the ears or pain, see a doctor or an audiologist.

Volume and screen safety

Start any sound at a low volume and raise it slowly, because loud or high tones can hurt your ears and your speakers. Some screen tests (such as the stuck pixel fixer and the refresh rate test) show flashing colours or fast-moving patterns. Don't use them if you are sensitive to flashing lights, and stop right away if you feel unwell.

Repair tools: use at your own risk

The speaker cleaner / water eject and the stuck pixel fixer use common methods that sometimes work, but they can't promise a repair, and we are not responsible for damage to your device. Let the device dry, and don't charge it while it is wet.

Ads and third-party links

The site may show ads and link to other websites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content. The Privacy Policy explains how ads and cookies work.

Ownership

The text, design and code of this site belong to ProDeviceTest. You may link to any page and quote short parts with a link back, but please don't copy whole pages.

Changes and contact

The site is provided "as is", without warranties, to the extent the law allows. We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows the latest change. If you have a question, use the Contact page.
